Recipes

Build a pipeline of steps, check it against a file before running it, then apply it. The file is read in this browser tab, the original is never modified, and nothing is uploaded.

Steps

Steps run in order, each one on the output of the last. Any change here clears the previous run — it described a different pipeline.

Recipe definition

No steps yet. A recipe with no steps returns the records unchanged.

    Add a step

Eleven of the DSL's eighteen step types can be authored here. The rest carry options that need editors of their own; a recipe file may contain them and will run as written.

    Keep this recipe

Exporting writes the definition through the same validator an import reads it back with, so a file this button produces is one FileMira will accept.

    Save and version

Saving stores the recipe's steps. It never stores the files you run them against — those stay in this browser.

Saving recipes to your account is not included in your current plan.

    Compatibility

    Not checked

There is not yet enough to check — a recipe and a file are both needed. This is not the same as saying they are compatible.

    • no_steps

This recipe has no steps, so a run would return the records unchanged.

    • no_source

No file is loaded, so compatibility with a source has not been checked.

    Run

    Load a data file first.

The recipe engine runs in one uninterruptible pass on this page — there is no worker for it — so the page stops responding while it works, and Stop is only effective in the moment before the pass begins. Nothing is uploaded; the records never leave this tab.

    Not run

No file is loaded, so there is nothing to run this recipe on.

    Runs in this session

This list lives in this browser tab and nowhere else. FileMira has no recipes service, so nothing here is saved to your account and closing the tab discards it. Every row holds counts and a status only — never a record, and never a position in one.

    Nothing has been run yet.
